Protecting Medicaid Coverage

Approximately 61,000 Alabamians may lose their Medicaid coverage by June 2024, as a result of the winding down public health emergency (PHE). Alabama Arise outlines how Alabama can protect health coverage during the Medicaid ‘unwinding’ period.

2022 Cover Alabama Health Fair

In November 2022, Cover Alabama and Alabama Arise hosted a health fair and a panel on Medicaid expansion in Fort Payne. Hear from Arise’s Cover Alabama campaign director Debbie Smith and other community members about why we held the health fair and why Medicaid expansion would save and improve lives in DeKalb County and across Alabama.

Advocates Fighting Cervical Cancer
